Who we are…

Mdiway Methodist Church is a growing and vibrant church community as part of the Global Methodist Church. We are formed around three main components: Worship, Nourishment, and Service. We currently average 70 persons in worship each Sunday at 9:30 am worship. We welcome guests from all over the world each Sunday, so if you are traveling up the interstate or staying in the area, please work us into your plans. We are expecting you. We also offer several Sunday School classes and Bible studies to nourish one another through the teachings of the Bible. We also have a lot of fun fellowship events and ministries to nourish one another. Midway MC is engaged in both local and world missions. We support a variety of Methodist and other Christian missions. If you are looking for a fun, relaxed and uplifting community that is serious about the Christian life, give Midway Methodist Church a try.

What we believe

We confess belief in the triune and personal God- Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in salvation in and through Jesus Christ.

We believe in the sovereignty of God and the Lordship of Jesus Christ to govern our lives as his followers.

Through the grace of God by faith in Jesus Christ we are forgiven of our sins, reconciled to God, and transformed as people of the new covenant.

We believe that the Bible is authoritative in matters of faith, is inspired by God, and is therefore our primary means of nourIshment and formation as the people of God. (1Timothy 3:16)

We believe the reign of God is a present and future reality.

We affirm the unity of the universal church which stems from our common faith in Jesus Christ, incorporated through Christian baptism, celebrated through Holy Communion, and as evidenced by the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives to conform us individually and collectively into God’s image.

We recognize our distinctive Wesleyan tradition of emphasizing God’s undeserved, unmerited, and loving favor in human existence through the ever-present Holy Spirit which precedes salvation, justifies us, and perfects us in love.

We affirm that God’s grace is available to all persons, though not all chose to receive it.

We affirm that salvation is not the end to the Christian life, but the beginning of a journey of fulfilling one’s personal and collective mission in the world which is part of God’s redemptive work.

We humbly accept God’s call to be witnesses for Jesus Christ, to our own personal salvation, and to God’s truth.
